Lemon-Lime Fluorite is a polished specimen of fluorite, a calcium fluoride mineral with the composition CaF2. First described in 1530 by Georgius Agricola, its name derives from the Latin fluere, meaning “to flow,” referencing its use as a flux in metalworking. Fluorite also supplies fluoride used in toothpaste.
