From a historic find in 2023, this was the first time we’ve ever found green Fluorite on golden Pyrite. This piece does have minor damage. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFluorite is a calcium fluoride mineral, CaF2, and the principal source of fluorine. It was first described in 1797 by Carlo Antonio Galeani Napione, and its name comes from the Latin fluere, meaning “to flow,” a nod to its use as a flux.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAtacocha Mine is a lead-zinc mine in the Atacocha mining district, about 13 to 15 kilometers northeast of Cerro de Pasco in Pasco province, central Peru. The district lies in a major Zn-Pb-Ag-Bi-Cu mining area, and sulfide minerals are especially common there.
