Valued at $120+. Here’s a highly fluorescent Hyalite Opal with 3 1mm fluorite inclusions (viewed as purple on the back). Hyalite is a colorless, amorphous hydrated silica variety of opal, with formula SiO2·nH2O. Uranyl (uranium) activators produce a striking yellow-to-green fluorescence under ultraviolet light.

Zacatecas, Mexico, is a historic mining region centered on the city of Zacatecas in the Sierra de Zacatecas, where the principal Veta de la Cañada silver vein follows a major fault for approximately 11 kilometers. The state is especially renowned for silver, gold, and zinc production, with major districts and mines including Fresnillo, Juanicipio, Saucito, Peñasquito, and Cozamin. Long recognized for its rich silver-mining heritage and varied mineral localities, Zacatecas remains a highly significant source region for collectible Mexican ore and mineral specimens.
