This color is hard to find crystallized. Believed to be pseudomorphed after either Baryte, Selenite, or Azurite.
Lupoto Mine is a copper deposit in the Kalumines property at Kakumba in Kipushi Territory, about 25 kilometers northwest of Lubumbashi in Haut-Katanga, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is a reduced-facies copper deposit hosted in dolomitic shale and is recorded as producing malachite and chrysocolla, with malachite on display in collected specimens from the locality. For collectors, Lupoto is valued for classic copper-mineral material from the Copper Crescent region, especially attractive secondary copper specimens associated with the mine’s documented mineral occurrences.
