Jackson Polluck would be impressed by the composition: evenly distributed yet aesthetically chaotic.
This is an excellent carved Quartz that is endlessly mesmerizing to look at, after handling hundreds of these over the years, I’m very impressed.
Schorl is the most common black tourmaline, a sodium iron aluminum silicate with the formula NaFe2+3Al6(Si6O18)(BO3)3(OH)3(OH). Named after the German village Zschorlau where it was first identified, this trigonal mineral is prized for its deep bluish-black color and vitreous lustre. Collectors often seek schorl specimens from Namibia's Erongo Mountains for their striking needle-like crystal formations.
