Size: Miniature - 4.8 × 3.6 × 2.7 cm
Apophyllite is a hydrous potassium calcium silicate. It was named from the Greek for “away from” and “leaf,” for the way it exfoliates when heated. Kinda like peeling apart a leaf. The clear crystals are prized by collectors and this floater has a lovely inter grown double termination on both ends. The druzy center covers a calcite core.
