An aesthetically etched, champagne-hued Topaz crystal. It has great luster and clarity, and could be displayed this way, or with the flat back serving as a ‘window’ into the crystal.
Topaz is an orthorhombic aluminum silicate mineral with the formula Al2SiO4(F,OH)2, named after Topazios Island in the Red Sea where it was first found.
Ponto do Marambaia, located in Caraí, Minas Gerais, Brazil, is a world-class district renowned for producing excellent-quality aquamarine, including the largest aquamarine crystal ever found at the nearby Papamel claim in 1910. This classic locality is also a confirmed source of topaz, beryl, watermelon tourmaline, and native gold, making it highly significant for collectors seeking iconic specimens from Brazil's famous mining state.
