Size: Gemstone - 4 × 4 × 2.67 mm
Zircon is a zirconium silicate, ZrSiO4, prized in fine gems for its bright fire and range of colors. It was first described in 1783 by Abraham Gottlob Werner, and its name comes from the Arabic zargun or the Persian zargun, meaning “gold-colored.” It is also an ore of zirconium, used in strong alloys and ceramics.
