Locality: Diana Maria Mine, Rogerley Quarry, Stanhope, County Durham, England, UK

Size: Thumbnail - 2.3 × 1.3 × 1.7 cm

This well zoned UK Fluorite has a grape/merlot core, a thin yellow band, and candy green exterior. Diana Maria Mine is an active specimen mining operation located 125 meters north-northwest of the main portal at Rogerley Quarry in Stanhope, County Durham, England. The mine targets the Sutcliffe Vein system, a set of east-west trending mineralized cross-veins that originally yielded high-quality specimens in the early 1970s before the Diana Maria operation began in 2017. This locality is renowned for producing notable specimens of greenockite, a rare cadmium sulfide mineral, alongside the area's famous fluorite. Collectors value Diana Maria Mine today as a dedicated source for fresh, high-grade mineral specimens from this historically significant Weardale orefield.
