Hematite included Amethyst and Citrine
Details
Locality: Goiás, Brazil
This Hematite Quartz is commonly sold as Super 7, which is a trade name for quartz crystals containing alleged inclusions of rutile, hematite, lepidocrocite, and cacoxenite. The name refers to seven claimed components, though lepidocrocite is hematite and cacoxenite is goethite, making the label a marketing term rather than a recognized mineral species.
Goiás, Brazil, is a prolific mineral-producing state known for diverse geological localities, including the Crixás gold field and major quartz districts. Cristalina is especially noted for its quartz crystal industry, producing attractive crystals with excellent inclusions as well as natural prismatic citrine. Gold specimens are documented from numerous mines and belts across the state, making Goiás a significant and varied source region for collectors.
