Yaogangxian Mine lies in Yizhang County near Chenzhou, Hunan, China, within the Yaogangxian W-Sn ore field. It is a contact-aureole tungsten-tin deposit formed around the Mesozoic Yaogangxian composite pluton, best known for quartz-vein tungsten-tin mineralization with minor greisen-style alteration. Collectors value specimens featuring ferberite, fluorite, fluorapatite, cassiterite, and associated sulfide minerals, including notable fluorite crystals on ferberite. Its long mining history and distinctive zoned ore veins have made Yaogangxian an enduring Chinese classic for tungsten-mineral specimens.
