Elbaite is a lithium-rich member of the tourmaline mineral family, first described in 1913 and named after its type locality, Elba Island in Italy.
Stak Nala, located in the Haramosh Mountains of Roundu District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, is renowned for its miarolitic granite pegmatites within the Stak valley of the Nanga Parbat–Haramosh Massif. This locality has produced notable specimens of topaz, bertrandite, microcline, pollucite, schorl, cleavelandite, cassiterite, aquamarine, and the only confirmed zircon from the area. Collectors value Stak Nala for its diverse suite of rare minerals hosted in unique pegmatitic structures, making it a significant source for high-quality mineral specimens in the northern Pakistan region.
