145 grams of chips and chunks from the Truffle Pig Pocket at the Diana Maria Mine, within Rogerley Quarry in Weardale, County Durham.
The bag measures 4x3”. These fluorites change color outside, and have great fluorescence under UV light.
The Diana Maria Mine is a specimen mining operation on the Sutcliffe Vein, a mineralized set of cross-veins in the western extension of the quarry. It is best known for fluorite, with pockets such as the 4th of July Pocket and Weardale Heather Pocket producing collectible material. The mine began operating in 2017 and continues the area’s long tradition of producing attractive fluorite specimens for collectors.
