This is a crystal with a lot to look at: Subtle Amethyst purple with smoky phantoms, interesting clay and Iron inclusions, air pockets and rainbows.
**There is a small chip on the main point, and a large cleave on the backside**
Smoky amethyst is a quartz variety, SiO2, that combines amethyst color with smoky tones from natural irradiation. Quartz was first described by Abraham Gottlob Werner in 1789, and its name comes from the German word for “hard.”
